The program in detail
Day 1 : Les Houches – Refuge de Nant Borrant
7 hours of trail running – Overnight in a mountain hut with luggage – Ascent : 1790 m (5,873 ft) / Descent : 1320 m (4,331 ft)
Meet at 9 a.m. in the TMB parking lot, opposite the Prarion gondola in Les Houches, for a departure briefing and the loading of your personal belongings, which will follow you throughout the trip.
The first stage will take you through breathtaking landscapes. You’ll start with a climb to Col de Voza (1653 m), offering stunning views right from the beginning. The ascent continues to Col du Tricot (2120 m), where you’ll enjoy an incredible view of the Aiguille du Goûter and the Dômes de Miage.
After taking in the panorama, you’ll descend to the Miage Chalets, a friendly and family-oriented spot. From there, you’ll continue through the heights of Contamines-Montjoie, reaching the Refuge de Nant Borrant, located at 1460 meters of altitude.
Day 2 : Refuge de Nant Borrant – Col Chécrouit
8 hours 30 of trail running – Overnight in a mountain hut with luggage – Ascent : 2060 m (6,758 ft) / Descent : 1840 m (6,037 ft)
On the program for this second day: exploring trails leading to three iconic mountain passes. We’ll start with the ascent to Col du Bonhomme (2325 m), followed by the climb to Col des Fours (2665 m), which offers stunning panoramic views. Finally, we’ll reach Col de la Seigne (2516 m), marking the transition from France and Savoie into the Aosta Valley in Italy.
To wrap up the day, we’ll head to the Monte Bianco Mountain Hut, passing by the scenic Lac Combal, surrounded by a spectacular backdrop of mountains and glaciers.
Day 3 : Col Chécrouit – Val Ferret
6.5 hours of trail running – Overnight in a mountain hut with luggage – Ascent : 1200 m (3,937 ft) / Descent : 1050 m (3,445 ft)
Today, we begin with a pleasant descent to the charming village of Courmayeur, the gateway to the Italian side of Mont Blanc. From there, we’ll ascend to the Bertone Mountain Hut, perched at 1970 meters. This balcony trail offers spectacular views of Mont Blanc and the Grandes Jorasses peaks.
To conclude this beautiful day, we’ll descend into the peaceful Val Ferret, where we’ll spend the night.*
*Depending on availability in Val Ferret and for the group’s comfort, a local bus transfer to Courmayeur may be arranged.
Day 4 : Val Ferret – Champex
8 hours of trail running – Overnight in a mountain hut with luggage – Ascent : 1420 m (4,659 ft) / Descent : 1565 m (5,134 ft)
*If staying in Courmayeur, a local bus to Arnouva will be required.
At dawn, your adventure leads you to the majestic Mont Dolent, a legendary peak where the borders of France, Switzerland, and Italy meet. After reaching the summit of the Grand Col Ferret at 2,537 meters, you’ll cross into Switzerland and enjoy a warm welcome. A pleasant descent takes you through the alpine meadows of Peule, leading you to La Fouly, a charming village perched at 1,600 meters in the heart of the stunning Valais. You’ll continue towards Champex and its beautiful lake, where the tranquility of the landscape blends with the serenity of the environment.
The day ends with a short climb to your mountain hut.
Day 5 : Champex – Le Tour
7 hours of trail running – Overnight in a mountain hut with luggage – Ascent : 1770 m (5,807 ft) / Descent : 2030 m (6,660 ft)
This day takes you on a more alpine route, passing through the spectacular Fenêtre d’Arpette (2665 m), the highest point of the stage. The ascent of this iconic pass immerses you in a mineral landscape, offering unique views of the Tour du Mont Blanc.
After crossing the Fenêtre d’Arpette, you’ll begin a descent towards Col de Balme (2190 m), located on the border between France and Switzerland. From this pass, you can take in stunning views of the Chamonix Valley in Haute-Savoie and the Trient Valley in the Valais region.
The day concludes with a descent to the village of Le Tour, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 6: Le Tour – Les Houches
8 hours of trail running – Ascent : 1470 m (4,823 ft) / Descent : 1960 m (6,430 ft)
This final day begins with a beautiful ascent to the Aiguillette d’Argentière, perched at an altitude of 1,893 meters. From the start, you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramas. The trail then continues to the Cheserys Lake before reaching the renowned Lac Blanc Refuge. Nestled in the heart of the Aiguilles Rouges Nature Reserve, this exceptional spot offers breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc massif.
Finally, the descent to Les Houches marks the end of this incredible adventure.

Meals
All breakfasts and dinners will be served at the accommodations.
The homemade picnics are prepared by a catering chef and consist of a variety of fresh salads, local charcuterie, regional cheeses, bread, as well as fruits and dried fruits.
Please inform us of any special dietary requirements at the time of booking so that we can notify the accommodations.
Accommodations
A “Dormitory” package is proposed for this trip : you will spend 5 nights in mountain huts, cottages, or hostels. You will share dormitories, typically with 6 to 12 people, as well as shared showers and restrooms.
Luggage transport
One piece of luggage per person is transferred each day between the different accommodations : a soft bag, duffle bag style, with a maximum weight of 12kg per person.
You will carry only your belongings for the day in a trail backpack, max 20L.
Is your 100 % women’s Tour du Mont Blanc just part of your trip? You can leave any extra luggage that won’t be needed for your trek in Chamonix or the surrounding area. Many hotels and shops offer luggage storage services. You can also use the website Bounce.com, which lists these drop-off points.
Level
This trip is for you if you’re an experienced runner who regularly participates in running on varied terrain, as well as other endurance sports. To take part in this trip, you must be able to run for at least 7 hours a day for 6 consecutive days. The terrain includes technical and sometimes difficult sections, so prior experience in mountain trail running is mandatory. The daily elevation gain is between 1,500 m and 2,000 m on average. It is essential to be able to run on downhill sections.
Experience in long-distance trail running (between 40 km and 60 km) is highly recommended, considering the distance you will need to cover each day.

Access to the starting point :
Meet at the parking lot in front of the Prarion cable car, in Les Houches, on the departure day at 9:00 AM.
By car : You can leave your vehicle at the Prarion parking lot in Les Houches. It is a free outdoor parking area. There are no free parking spaces in Chamonix.
By train : To reach Chamonix, it takes approximately 3.5 hours by train from Lyon, 8 hours from Paris, and 2 hours from Geneva. In just a few hours, you can be at the foot of Mont Blanc, in the center of Chamonix, without having to worry about parking, tolls, or heavy traffic. By choosing the train, you are opting for the most environmentally friendly mode of transport, while enjoying a comfortable journey, ensuring you arrive in great shape for your Tour du Mont Blanc.

Equipment
Even if you’re doing it in the summer, temperatures can be chilly on the trails of the Tour du Mont Blanc ! We strongly recommend bringing suitable and versatile clothing for your trip. Prefer the gear you use during your runs or training, as it is proven to work well, especially your shoes.
The accommodations provide blankets and pillows, but you will need to bring a silk sheet for hygiene reasons.

To travel with peace of mind, Trekking Mont Blanc offers two insurance policies in partnership with Assur Travel, specially designed to meet the needs of a trek such as the Tour du Mont Blanc. These options, Cancellation and Multirisk, provide coverage to deal with unforeseen circumstances throughout your trip.
Cancellation Insurance :
This option covers the cancellation of your trip for a valid reason (illness, accident, etc.) before the departure date. You will be reimbursed for the amounts paid, subject to the conditions specified in the policy.
- Cost : 3.15% of the trip price

- In case of cancellation, you should contact the insurance company directly to file your claim, with our team’s assistance if needed.
Multirisk Insurance :
The Multirisk option offers comprehensive coverage, including :

Transfers
Our agency offers a private shuttle service to help you get around the Mont Blanc region.
Our team can arrange transportation between your arrival point (Chamonix train station, Geneva airport, etc.) and your hotel or the starting point of your trek, for example.
We also provide several transfers along the Tour du Mont Blanc, allowing you to skip sections that are less interesting or too difficult for you.
The service is available every day during the summer, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
